Mr Richard Kerr

Specialist in Oral Surgery
BDS, FDS RCS, Dip DSed
GDC: 63471

Mr Richard Kerr is a senior surgeon at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. He obtained the fellowship in dental surgery from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 1993. In 2000 he was recognised as a Specialist in Oral Surgery by the General Dental Council.

As a Specialist Oral Surgeon, he takes referrals for the extraction of any teeth, including wisdom teeth. Patients are typically referred to Mr Kerr for dental extractions that may not be straight forward or if they are particularly nervous. His communication skills are excellent and his experience allows him to complete all procedures with a gentle touch and in a relatively short time frame to maximise patient comfort.

For nervous patients, he has been providing IV sedation for over 15 years and has recently completed a Diploma in Conscious Sedation. As a patient, you could not be in safer hands. He provides IV sedation for not only his own patients, but also for patients who require any aspect of general dentistry as part of our team approach.

As one would expect for an experienced Specialist Oral Surgeon he has a wealth of knowledge and experience in treating conditions from jaw problems to atypical facial pains.
