Root Canal Treatment

Want to save a tooth and get out of pain?

Root canal treatment (also referred to as endodontics), is the treatment of severely broken down, inflamed or infected teeth. It is generally the last treatment option available in order to save a tooth and usually the required treatment to get our patients out of dental pain.

Contrary to popular belief, root canal treatments are often the most relaxing procedure we provide at South Devon Dental, commonly with our patients finding themselves nodding off in the chair!

Have you been told that a tooth cannot be saved?

At South Devon Dental we are very fortunate to have Dr Jonathan Hope, who practices with a Special Interest in Root Canal Treatment and also has a Masters Degree in Root Canal Treatment (Endodontics). He receives referrals for complex root canal treatments from across the South West.  Jonathan is a member of the British Endodontic Society. He competes complex root canal treatment cases that may prove to challenging for your own dentist.

He embraces technology and utilises some of the latest equipment including rotary and reciprocating shaping systems, active irrigation techniques and digital radiography.

following the completion of his Postgraduate Diploma in Root Canal Treatment.

Jonathan is a member of the British Endodontic Society and also accepts referrals from surrounding practices for complex root canal cases that may prove too challenging for your own dentist. Jonathan’s passion for this type of dentistry, along with embracing the most up-to-date technology allows him to save teeth that may have been destined for removal. We  believe that if a tooth has a chance to be saved, this is generally the best option to maintain a healthy and pain free mouth.
